Welcome swimmers, divers, and parents to the 2011 Maplewood Swim and Dive Team season!
Many of you know us already... but if you don't, we are Karen Dean and Patty Mansfield, the
new swim and dive team chairpersons. We look forward to seeing you at registration.
Registration will be held at the pool May 21st from 1:00-3:00 PM. Please download the registration forms
by clicking Swim Dive Registration, complete in advance, and bring it to the Registration.
Personal Best will be at registration. They will be selling our team suit (same as 2010 suit) along with
other accessories. Bathing suit costs: Female youth size 22-28: $45.98; Female adult size 26-40:
$47.44; Male jammers size 22-28: $28.46; Male jammers size 30-38: $29.74. Sales tax is not
included in price. PB will accept cash, check, or credit card.
We will be placing a one time custom clothing order. Forms will be available at registration. After this
time, we will be selling unisex t-shirts at home swim meets.
There will be several fundraisers. Your participation is vital. We have a great need for replacement
equipment. Our goal over the next few years is to purchase new lane lines, starting blocks, and a
computer system upgrade. We thank you in advance for supporting your team. If you have any
fundraising suggestions or can provide assistance, please let us know.
Fundraisers:
Swim-A-Thon will be held on June 29th during practice. Each swimmer is expected to raise a
minimum of $15. There will be prizes awarded to the top 3 swimmers who raise the most for their
team. The sign-up form is on-line, click Swim-A-Thon Form.
Raffle Baskets to be raffled off on Family Day, July 2nd. Please give $10 per family. You will have
the option to pay this amount at registration or pay by June 22nd. (Some possible baskets: Nintendo
DSi, iPod Nano or iPod Touch, night out, gift card basket). In addition, if you have an item you wish
to donate, please contact us.
Applebee’s breakfast is July 10th. Tickets will be $5 per person. This is one of our biggest and most
successful fundraisers. Each family is encouraged to purchase/sell at least 4 tickets.
Tupperware Fundraiser - forms will be sent out during the 1st or 2nd week of after school practice.
Order is due July 5th.
Rita’s Water Ice – is July 8th, 5-10pm. Stop by the location next to LA Fitness on County Line Road in
Huntington Valley, proceeds benefit the Swim Team.

After School Diving Practices – start Monday, June 6 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm for experienced divers &
5:00 to 6:00 pm for beginner divers. On June 6, please arrive at 4:00pm for skill evaluation. Matt will
separate divers into their appropriate practice time.
Morning Diving Practices start June 20 from 9:00 to 10:00 am & 10:00 to 11:00 am.
Matt will designate the appropriate practice time for each diver.
Junior Swim Team Starts Monday, June 27 10:30 to 11:30 am
